A few years ago, I was honoured to be the leading lady in Philip Reeve and Brian Mitchell’s musical THE MINISTRY OF BISCUITS and I won an award for it (Best Actress at Brighton Fringe).
Now I’m too old to be a leading lady apparently, so I’m the Character Actress parts instead. Which is way too much fun and suits me down to the ground. I am seven different characters in this show and get to dance, which is both terrifying, and my favourite thing to do.
It was recently pointed out to me that I am a professional dancer because I get paid to dance. Which is very pleasing. I guess I’m also a professional faller-over and a professional gurner. what a wonderful world. This is a cracking show, written by the brilliant author Philip Reeve (Mortal Engines) and ace playwright and composer Brian Mitchell, the cast are superb, see this show while you can.
